Nah, pushing a trolley - much classier and less rust than a Talbot Horizon ;-)

Quite possibly!

Still no activity, took another reading and SG is unchanged. Temp is 24 which is good. I've swilled it round a bit to wake it up and will check again tomorrow morning. If still not happening, fresh yeast going in. Stay tuned folks!

I noticed a tiny hole in the first yeast packet. I reckon the yeast is shit.

cant really imagine mate - its just inert so will simply sink to the bottom with all the other crud. But it could well taste different from what it should by me using a different yeast. I used Wilkos english ale yeast as that was all I could get in an emergency, ideally should have used a US pale yeast. But what the hell, it will still eat the sugar and turn it into the good stuff

3 weeks to go until fermentation finishes the kit reckons (thats a hellish long brew) but its got a lot to chew on. Lets see what happens, the kitchen cupboard smelled awesome this morning beer1

I quite fancy some home brew for crimbo. How long does it take like? And where's a good place to purchase said liquor making magic?

And I ain't going to Wilko or Aldi
