My '63 bug and Lime Green '73 were sold a few years ago, and I got back into scooters for a while.
Currently have a GTi Golf and now the Trekker. :D

My son currently owns this American built '65 with new 2.1 motor built by Daz at Aircooled Performance

Yeh, It's nice to get back to tinkering with 4 pot aircooled motors instead of single two strokes.
My son and I have been chasing this particular 181 for a while, and finally we got it.
It is another shared vehicle - we both put the same cash into it - but my name is on the title,
.....and it's in my garage. :D
I see problems when the sun shines - we will both be grabbing the keys to go trekking.

There are no plans to mod it, after all it's unusual in itself - just keeping it stock(ish).
