No its not a weird question. Lots of Dubbers are affectionate with their vans and I was just wondering about all the ways which this happens. I give mine an affectionate pat when I pass her when shes parked. in other words I feel compelled to touch it in the way I would a pet dog or a toy.

Email or add to the forum if you have any fun/interesting stories about this.

Happy days!!!!

i like to scrape my VW`s with razors bades to remove the layers of old paint

its not affectionate, but very theraputic and as you peel back the layers you discover all the little bits of history, repairs, paint jobs etc....

there are much quicker, easier and more effective ways to remove old paint, but 3 hours with a razor blade to remove 12inches of paint really is very calming

Yes non affectionate responses count. I guess I need
to hear a few more ideas from people before it can make any sense of this thread myself.

...anyone else? ;)
