Hello all.

Paris the research van is now in storage until April. How many folks
have put their vans and bugs to bed? Anyone missing them yet?
What do we do with ourselves, for those nor touch enough to winter camp LOL.

I don't fully understand the "packing away " of the vehicles. it's like buying a Van Gough and keeping it locked in a vault. I suppose that if your van is purely an investment and the plan is to sell it one day and make money, then the best way to keep it clean and rot-free is to lock it away from the salt and the nastiness of the winter, But if that's the case you might as well keep it there all year in case it gets bird sh&t on it or dinked in Morrisons car park
Mine is a daily driver anyway, but to be honest is lucky if it goes to the shops during the week and sometimes gets a run out at weekends. I think if I took the bus off the road for months I would not only lose interest in it and realise that it is probably a really daft vehicle to run, but I would be bored daft and have nowt to moan about. :?

I'm a believer in using things for their designed purpose. Paintings to look at, cars to drive, beer to drink , candles to burn, money to spend. Life's too short.

But hey...different strokes for different folks

Same here, we don't put the Bus or the Bug away ever. We use them all year round, every day in all weather, including winter camping :D
