Hello guys!!!!

How many people before they bought a van knew that (especially the older vans)
they would have to drive slowly?

When I got mine I did not realise that that was the deal,,,,,so had to learn
to relax behind the wheel.

What do folks get out of driving slowly?????

xx

I keep putting off spending time and money on a more powerful engine for the bus even though I have a lot of the parts. It doesn't really seem right. But to be hest its probably not happened cos my stock engine is so reliable. I dont wanna go fast anyway, just get up hills quicker, I like the speed it goes at.

When I got my early bay it was terrifying travelling back from Stockport to Sunderland! At one point on the M62 on a hill I was doing 15mph! That was soon rectified once it was home. Speed isn't an essential part of owning a bus in the main. There are plenty of mental quick busses out there, see Paul Hamiltons 12 second bus! That's over 2 seconds quicker than my bug on the quarter mile.

Most people in a bus like chugging along. I liked mine once The Frasers sorted the engine and I could keep up with traffic. But in the main I enjoyed a slightly slower pace that bus life brings. My bug is different. It's balls out fast everywhere :D

It's all relative. 60 mph is fast enough and you still pass people in real cars going slower than us. Even when you hold folks up most of them smile as they eventually get past, one kid took my photo as he passed.
I'm more concerned that it doesn't go round corners or stop..

Wayne said that most people in bus's like chugging along?

Its its true that people like life in the slow lane in a V-dub...whats the attraction of the slow?

(I liked the comment about catching the views...but is there anything else?)
