i always have mad ideas like this then the other half usually brings me backdown to the real world and we go and buy a wardrobe from ikea or somthing else as boring

so i will be watching this conversion  if you are putting all the hard work into the rear conversion have you not thought of doing a twin engine they are mad fast and not that much more work on top of what you have in front of you

Can I just ask why you would want to do this. :?: I'm all for a mad idea, but all you will end up with will be a rear engined polo !!! Aren't the front engined ones pretty goood little motors ??

sorry

I may be getting old :(

and better handling I would think too.

The car is set up to have lots of weight between the front wheels and for the front wheels to be able to pull it round corners if the power is on rather than them being pushed ahead.

Im no expert but I guess a lot of understeer may be coming your way.

However many engines it is, interesting project, I will be watching with interest.

Well if its anything like the golf in volks world then you can fit a bug front beam and lower it waaay lower than golfs/polos can normally go. If lowering it is the plan then the engine in the back wont be too much of a problem with handling because youll be after the slow cruise i imagine. Might be wrong like but even so youll end up with more storage space with the back and the front being virtually empty.

well there are a couple of local twin engined golfs built by veebubs at bill quay and these arnt built for low slow cruising if you fit 2 vr6 motors the last thing on your mind is going slow and there 1/4 mile times are mental try google or utube for twin engined golfs etc

I thought that one was basically a golf mk 3 shell dropped onto Type 3 floor pan/running gear? :? It's super low though 8) 8)
